Briella's Tranformer Teeth!

After our her first trip to the dentist. We found out that, my baby girl was born without enamal on her back eight teeth, four on top and four on bottom. The Dentist told me that in order to prevent a root canal and possibly having the teeth underneath damaged they needed to be capped. They put her under local anestheisa and capped her teeth. She wasn't even scared at all. 

She came out with eight brand new Transformer teeth! 

Right before they took her back. 

She slept all day after! 

New teeth! Let's hope it protects her big teeth and they have enamel! 

One year update!

Jose's doing really well. I can't believe it has been one year from today that he was diagnosed with Leukemia. We went to up to LDS. He is still taking oral chemo theraphy and does ok with it. His body can't seem to filter the Methotrexate very well and it causes his liver enzymes to climb. The doctors take him off for a few weeks let them come down. Then resume on a lower dose until they increase again. He is still having issues with his lips blistering and gets really tired and grumpy the days he takes methotrexate. But, all things considered he's doing fantastic.

 He just recently had a PML/RAR alpha T (15:17) test done to make sure there was no abnormal chromosomes in his blood. It came back clean. He will continue the oral chemo medication until July when they will do a final bone marrow test. At that point he will just be monitored every six months. We see a light at the end of this long tunnel and have been so blessed this last year with so many things.

Minnesota

My Grandma Jean died and I took a quick trip out with my sister and my Dad to Minnesota for the funeral. He hasn't seen much of his family in quite some time. It was really nice to spend some time with him as well.

Of course we couldn't go to Minnesota without visiting the Mall of America! I remember going when I was little with my Aunt Susan the day it opened. We went to the American Girl Doll store and got the girls dolls. It's insane how crazy that store is!
